Voodoo Virgin Tours OXE300
Double OXE200 installation for tourist attraction Voodoo in the Virgin Islands
"The outboard diesel engines are state of the art and provide immense fuel savings over conventional gas outboards."
"We particularly like the OXE200 as it is a powerful diesel engine. Since our big boat also runs on diesel, fuel management is very easy. We also think that diesel engines are favorable because they are safer and more reliable, given the environment we work in."

Catamaran powered by OXE Diesel
The Voodoo is a 57 foot catamaran powered by a double OXE300 installation. She is used for luxury tourist expeditions, accommodating groups to explore the St John Virgin Islands.

About the craft
The Voodoo hull design is a wave-piercing, partially planing displacement hull, with a very low draft and drag coefficient. At 57 feet she is one of the largest catamarans in the world with outboard engines. Generally, vessels this size have large inboard engines which require a lot of space, fire safety equipment, rudders and steering mechanics increasing draft and drag. Voodoo has no rudders and no machinery space at all as our power plants are outside the vessel making her very safe.
The vessel is very fuel-efficient for her size. Voodoo is mostly carbon fiber making her very light. The outboard diesel engines are state of the art and provide immense fuel savings over conventional gas engines.
